Register as a supplier

We work to a selective supplier list rather than an open one. Offers are put only against requirements we are actually working, and nowhere else.

What we look for

Title to the material. You produce it, refine it, mill it, recycle it, or hold it in your own name.
Specialisation. Real producers are narrow. We are cautious of offers spanning unrelated sectors.
Willingness to be inspected. Independent pre-shipment inspection at your works or load port.
Documentary discipline. Clean, consistent export documentation issued in your own company name.

What we do not do

We will not work an enquiry against allocation letters, unverifiable proof-of-product, or chains of intermediaries claiming a mandate. We introduce principals directly to each other, and we expect both of them to be exactly that.

Contract and arbitration

A supplier who has contracted on association terms before is a different proposition from one who has not. If none of this applies to your trade, say so — several commodities have no association form at all, and that is not a mark against you.

Whether your company, or any company under the same ownership, appears on Defaulters on Gafta Arbitration Awards — the list Gafta publishes openly, running from 2011 to the present — or has been posted by FOSFA. We check the Gafta list before we take an offer to a buyer. An honest answer costs you nothing; a discovered one ends the conversation.
