• Silicomanganese

  Bulk deoxidiser and alloying addition for carbon and low-alloy steel. Traded against manganese and silicon content with ceilings on carbon, phosphorus and sulphur.

• Ferrosilicon

  Deoxidiser and silicon source for steel and cast iron, traded at 65%, 72% and 75% silicon. Not in CBAM scope, unlike the manganese and chrome alloys on the next page.

• Ferromanganese

  High-, medium- and low-carbon grades for steelmaking. The carbon class is set by the steel being made, not by what is cheapest that week.

• Ferrochrome

  Chromium units for stainless and alloy steel, quoted on contained Cr. Charge chrome and low-carbon are not substitutes.

• Ferronickel

  Nickel unit supply for stainless steel production, traded on contained nickel.

• Ferromolybdenum

  Molybdenum units for high-strength and tool steels, quoted per kilogram of contained Mo. At this value per tonne, packing integrity is a commercial term, not a detail.

Refined metal and recovered material. On cathode and ingot the registered brand is half the price; on scrap, the grade code is the contract.

• Copper cathode

  Refined copper, normally traded as LME Grade A against an exchange price plus a delivered premium.

• Aluminium ingot

  Primary aluminium in remelt form. A7 and A7E are the common export designations alongside P1020.

• Zinc ingot

  Refined zinc for galvanising and alloying, normally special high grade.

• Lead ingot

  Refined and remelted lead. The antimony and bismuth ceilings are what separate battery metal from shielding metal.

• Copper scrap

  Recovered copper traded to ISRI designations. The grade language must be exact — the designation defines the deal.

• Aluminium scrap

  Recovered aluminium traded to ISRI designations for remelt and secondary alloy production.

• Ferrous scrap

  Steel scrap for melting, traded to ISRI designations. HMS 1&2 in a stated ratio is the common export grade.

Run-of-mine and beneficiated material, priced on a dry basis per unit of contained metal. Penalty elements decide what the cargo is actually worth.

• Manganese ore

  Feed for ferroalloy smelting and battery-grade processing. Priced per dry metric tonne unit of contained manganese.

• Iron ore

  Fines, lump and concentrate for blast furnace and direct reduction feed. Traded against index with grade adjustments.

• Chrome ore

  Chromite for ferrochrome smelting, refractory and foundry use. The chromium-to-iron ratio drives the application.

• Bauxite

  Aluminium ore for alumina refining, cement and refractory use. Metallurgical and refractory grades trade differently.

• Barite

• Gypsum

  Natural, chemical and electrolytic grades. EMD for batteries and NMD for ceramics are separate markets at separate prices — tell us which one you are in.

Nitrogen, phosphate and compound products. Sold on nutrient units and rejected on caking, so how it arrives matters as much as how it assays.

• Urea

  Nitrogen fertiliser at 46% N, supplied prilled or granular. Also traded as technical grade for industrial and diesel exhaust fluid use.

• DAP (diammonium phosphate)

  Compound phosphate fertiliser supplying both nitrogen and phosphorus. Standard grade is 18-46-0.

• MAP (monoammonium phosphate)

  Phosphate fertiliser with lower nitrogen than DAP. Common grades are 11-52-0 granular and 12-61-0 water-soluble.

• NPK compound fertiliser

  Blended or complex fertilisers to a specified nutrient ratio, formulated to crop and soil requirement.

• Ammonium sulphate

  Nitrogen and sulphur fertiliser, traded as caprolactam, steel or synthetic grade with different crystal habits.

• Potash (MOP)

  Muriate of potash for broad-acre agriculture, in standard, granular and soluble grades.

Base chemicals in bulk and packed form. What your terminal can discharge usually settles the form before price enters the conversation.

• Sulphur

  Recovered elemental sulphur for sulphuric acid and fertiliser manufacture. Granular, prilled and crushed lump all trade actively.

• Caustic soda

  Sodium hydroxide in flake, pearl and liquid form. Form and concentration are a freight decision as much as a chemistry one — 50% liquid is half water.

• Sulphuric acid

  Bulk mineral acid for fertiliser and leaching duty. Technical, battery and reagent grades are not substitutable, so state which one you are buying.

• Soda ash

  Sodium carbonate for glass, detergents and chemicals, supplied dense or light depending on the process.

  White pigment for coatings, plastics and paper. Rutile where it will see weather, anatase where it will not — and the surface treatment matters as much as the crystal form.

  Propane, butane and mixes. The ratio is set by the destination climate and the receiving installation, not by preference.

• Petroleum coke

• Thermal coal

• Bitumen

  High-density polyethylene resin. The process grade must match the converter line — film, blow moulding, injection or pipe.

  Low-density and linear low-density polyethylene. LLDPE comonomer type changes how the film runs, so name the grade your line is set for.

• Polypropylene

Grains, pulses, oils, sugar and seeds. Crop year and the contract form usually matter more than the origin on the label.

• Cane sugar

  Refined and raw cane sugar. The ICUMSA colour value defines the grade — 45 for refined white, higher values for mill white and raw.

• Chickpeas

  Kabuli and desi chickpeas. Calibre in millimetres is the primary commercial variable and drives the price step.

• Lentils

  Red, green and speciality lentils, whole and split. Grading systems differ by origin, so give us your tolerances rather than a grade name.

• Yellow & green peas

  Field peas, whole and split. Food and feed grades differ on bleached and defective tolerances rather than on the pea itself.

• Rice

  Long grain white, parboiled, basmati and broken rice. Broken percentage is the headline grade variable.

• Wheat

  Milling and feed wheat. Protein, test weight and falling number determine milling suitability.

• Maize (corn)

• Soybean & soybean meal

• Sunflower oil

  Crude and refined sunflower oil, bulk and retail packed. Wax content governs whether it clouds in the bottle and whether it needs winterising.

• Sesame seeds

• Barley

  Feed and malting barley. Malting grades carry germination and protein windows that feed grades do not.
