Before you enquire

AGO is a market name, not a specification, and that is the whole difficulty. Two cargoes both called AGO can differ by an order of magnitude on sulphur, so name the destination standard — Nigerian, Kenyan, Ghanaian or whichever applies — rather than the abbreviation. It is not EN 590 and should not be contracted as though it were. Origin sits ahead of price into the EU. Since 21 January 2026 refined product made in a third country from Russian crude cannot be imported, and the importer evidences the origin of the crude, so establish the refinery and its crude slate at enquiry rather than at documents. Product from a listed partner country, or from a third country that was a net crude exporter the previous year, is treated as compliant. We quote only against refinery or terminal supply we can inspect at load.
